IMPORT EXPORT LOGISTICS

Along with International Trading itself, ‘Logistics’ is another area that is extraordinarily complex, and not for the ‘newbie’. GGT has worked with logistics partners for many years and is confident in its logistics team, so if need be, can coordinate this aspect of any trade transaction as well. For example, if a small Buyer wishes to enter into a contract with GGT for GGT to Supply them with a product from a small Supplier that GGT has sourced, and neither Buyer or Supplier has their own ships, nor the experience with booking and coordinating such, and the Buyer wants GGT to arrange the freight and insurance under CIF Incoterms, GGT will certainly be able to accomplish such a task to bring the trade transaction to a successful conclusion. DUE DILIGENCE

International trade is a very tricky business, in where one must be aware of and sift out the fakes and scams out there. Determining the legitimacy of entities and products (as per required/desired specifications) is the crucial ‘Due Diligence’ (DD) part of the business. For any company or individual that does not have the time or resources for proper DD regarding a project they are undertaking and need extra assistance, whereby GGT will not be involved in their project, GGT offers DD services at US $45/hour. SOURCING BUYERS

GGT will help, at no initial charge, Suppliers that need assistance sourcing an End Buyer for their commodity/product, as long as it is understood that GGT will coordinate and manage any ensuing trade transaction that may potentially take place as a result of GGT sourcing a Buyer, and that our remuneration will be the small profit we make from purchasing title of said product from the Supplier then selling it to the sourced End Buyer who will also take possession of the goods. Need help to source an End Buyer for your specific commodity/product?

There are various scenarios whereby a Supplier would come to GGT for assistance. For example, perhaps the Supplier has only sold their product in the domestic market and they do not wish to become involved in all the risks, procedures, and logistics involved with finding and selling to international End Buyers, or perhaps they have more product supply than their current Buyer can purchase and they are having trouble finding additional Buyers, etc., etc. Once again, whatever the case, GGT is here to assist and help to activate a trade transaction in the process.

Similarly to sourcing Buyers, GGT will also help, at no initial charge, End Buyers that need assistance sourcing a sought-after commodity/product, as long as it is understood that GGT will coordinate and manage any ensuing trade transaction that may potentially take place as a result of GGT sourcing a Supplier, and that our remuneration will be the small profit we make from purchasing title of said product from sourced Supplier then selling it to the End Buyer who will also take possession of the goods. There are many different scenarios whereby a Buyer would come to GGT for assistance. For example, perhaps the Buyer is just newly getting involved into a business that requires a specific commodity, but they are not familiar with importing, or perhaps the Buyer cannot find a Supplier that produces the desired product with the necessary specifications, or perhaps the Buyer now has more demand than their regular Supplier can produce and they are having trouble finding additional sources of supply, etc. Whatever the case, GGT is here to assist and help to activate a trade transaction in the process.

MENTORING/ATTACHMENT

For anyone that has already studied FTNX’s doctrine of international trade, either “International Trade and the Successful Intermediary”, and/or “BEDA”, and/or the current “SADI” (www.smice.net and click on “Publications”), and wishes to align themselves with GGT’s experience to work with potential live international trade transactions, you may contact [email protected] requesting an opportunity for mentoring & attachment, and becoming a GGT International Sourcing Specialist (ISS). Strictly ONLY THOSE who have already studied FTNX’s doctrine (and produce proof of such) may apply, and each request will be considered on merit … only if there is space available to take on another applicant. The fee for mentoring/attachment is US $1200/year. There are absolutely no guarantees of being involved in a successful trade transaction that closes, but the more effort that is put in, the more chance there is of success. Currently GGT has two trained/attached, active ISS members, who operate as GGT’s sourcing agents and may be contacted with trade enquiries. They are:

CONSULTING

Import-Export & Logistics:
GGT has assisted individuals and companies, who had little to no experience with importing, import products into Canada and ensuring that all steps and procedures involving logistics and customs forms and information were followed correctly so that the transactions could be accomplished successfully in a safe and timely manner. Remuneration for this type of consulting is via a Fee for Service, the amount of which depends on the size of the job and what GGT’s involvement and commitment will be. A quote will be provided upon a review of an Import-Export/Logistics Consulting Request.

International Sales:
GGT has also assisted companies with international sales of large equipment/products, including arranging formal product appraisals prior to sale. Each industry has their standard procedures and protocols, along with customs forms, documentation requirements and contracts. It is our job to ensure all obligations, including payment and delivery, are all undertaken using the safest industry procedures possible, so that at the end of the day, everyone gets what they were anticipating, no surprises, and everyone goes home happy. Remuneration for this type of consulting is mainly via a Commission for Service, the percentage amount of which depends on industry standards, value of the product being sold, and the amount of work that GGT will be doing to get the product sold. In some cases, if there is a lot of pre-sale work involved, that will benefit the owner/seller regardless of whether or not the product ends up getting sold, then that work will be renumerated outside the commission agreement. A quote will be provided after all details of a Sales Consulting Request are reviewed.

Investment Projects:
Due to GGT’s extensive database of global business, trade, investment, and banking contacts, it is well-positioned to actively participate in major multi-million-dollar Investment Projects, providing that the project has a solid business plan, will provide investors with a healthy return on investment within the first 3 years, and that those involved in presenting the request have a proven track record, for starters. Our role would be to present the proposed project to our specific contacts that we feel would be interested in investing into such a venture. It goes without saying that we of course respect the confidentiality of everything that would be presented and sign an NCNDA, and insist on any potentially interested investors signing such as well, to protect the project owner. Remuneration for this type of consulting service would be via a ‘Success Fee’ once an investment deal has been struck between the project owners and the investor(s). The Success Fee is typically a standard percentage amount of the investment funds collected/received for the project. A decision to proceed will be made after a positive review is made of all the details of an Investment Project and an Agreement is signed.

Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions:
In the same way, closely related to Investment Projects, GGT is also well-positioned with its database of contacts to approach specific corporate entities that we understand are seeking to expand their business and introduce them to another corporate entity in the same industry that is wishing to sell off their company for one reason or another. Our role would be to first review and assess, with our bankers, the company wishing to sell out to ensure that they are profitable and thriving – or could be more so given specific strategic corrections. Upon a satisfactory review assessment, the next step would then be to go to our database and find potential matches that we feel would be interested in buying out said company. Proposals and discussions carry on from that point, followed by signed agreements, and company takeover. Again, all work and discussions are highly confidential and are undertaken under strict signed NCNDA’s until the closing of a deal is made public. Remuneration for bringing two companies together to sell/purchase the majority shares of the one company by the other would be via a ‘Success Management Fee’ once the deal successfully closes. This Fee is also typically a standard percentage amount of capital the purchasing company puts into the deal, whether it be a merger or acquisition.
